I am a musician, guitar player, educator, and composer for film and television. My musical style ranges from electronica to blues, jazz rock, and the nuances in between. 

My music career started, like so many others, playing in cover bands in my late teens. I was lucky to enough to be hired to play in a band alongside some of the best jazz musicians in Switzerland (most notably Marc Berthoumieux, Christophe Chambet, Moncef Genoud, and Serge Zaugg).

Moved later to London where I worked as a session guitarist and played with a few bands, and through different connections led me to New York, where I currently live.

With 30 plus years of teaching experience in guitar, piano, voice, bass, music theory, I am a non-traditional teacher who views music education as an opportunity to inspire and empower students. I focus on creating an energetic and supportive learning environment where students can explore their musical interests, whether they are drawn to classical compositions or contemporary genres.

Having taught in classrooms, private lessons, after-school programs, adults and children, in both English and French languages, I believe that learning through experience and real-world application enhances students’ understanding and appreciation of music.

In recent years, I led the regular music classes and three choirs (one in middle school, two in elementary), and it was my responsibility to ensure that every student who played a musical instrument could play it well and enjoy the process of learning music.
